how to make a fake candlestick telephone from the 1920's?

Question: i lack to make one from scratch.. like the stick can be a paper towel rotation. that much i've figured, its for a play, and we need to make about 30, so we sine qua non to use cheap materialss.

Answer: Sounds like you're on a drive ( heh heh), keep going. Think also of paper mache, perhaps for the ear piece since it has the behave better of a long bell - flared at the end. Coat hangers for the ear be shattered hook. Cover with paper mache.

(p. 5) Among the papers included in this amount is "Legions, Please: New Hampshire Predial Telephone Operators, 1877-1920" by Judith Moyer . This is a look at the record of telephones in the granite phase and the women who made them profession. The twin on the boards was captivated at Otis Sumner's drugstore, Goffstown, NH c. 1920. At that even so there were 653 telephone operators in New Hampshire and 92.5% of them were women.
