I'm thinking about buying a radio scanner (Alinco DJ-X3), Good choice? & What can & cant I listen to?

Question: Hi, I'm thought about buying a radio scanner possibly a Alinco DJ-X3,

1, Is it a good choice
2, In the UK can you mind in on the emargancy services (Fire, Police . . . )
3, If no what can i listen to ?

My argument for purchasing a PMR 446 radio was to okay bike to bike communication. I needed a radio that would be sturdy, have a gentle battery lifetime, and be gifted to tolerate the measure headphone & mic accessories. When I discovered that Alinco did this PMR 446 type of their VHF DJ-193E, which has the same carcass, chassis, and internals (except for being UHF) I unequivocal it would fit the bill. My opening impressions of the radio were distorted by the happening that I already had a very encomiastic event using the Alinco DJ-596 (HAM VHF/UHF Multi-strip) Disseminate held Transceiver. The construct je sais quoi and functionality are of the same criterion. The DJ-446 well-deserved doesn’t have rather so many features!

What you get

The radio comes packaged in a utilitarian brown cardboard box, decent like the up-market HAM handheld radios do. I incline towards this to the nauseating flexible packaging a lot of PMR 446 radios fly at in. I estimate once you take it out and use it, it doesn’t at the end of the day concern what it arrived in, but at least you can put the radio back in its box if you have to.
