On the first go, Siri's matronly expression read the error-free message back to me but refused to send it. I tried again. She/it misheard "Subject-matter Heidi" and wanted to text "A. Davenport." On another attempt, the app ignored me. Siri had believably jumped out of the car. It was the first of many times that I took my eyes off the road to see if it had dictated a communication. Blank screen. (Me: "Siri, are you there?" Siri: "Wherever you are, that's where I am." Creepy.)

Over two hours, I savvy the same maddening (and highly distracting) problems when trying to text an senior editor and friends. Eventually, I was engaged in a no-hands texting exchange with Heidi as I drove through Beaverton. She asked me to pick up bananas on the way dwelling. "OK," I replied. Instead of sending the message, Siri started playing a Radiohead long story.

Me: "Siri, I can't understand what you're doing." Siri: "If you can't, you can't." Great. Now, she was being passive combative. Buckets of rain pounded the windshield.

People actually pounced on that run-of-the-mill who was killed while jogging originally by the Mall.

Perhaps in that cover, reduced hearing was a cause, but I value the comments were a bit malicious. It wasn't like she was suing the driver. She was gone for a burton.

I don't bicycle with headphones but I do jog carefully with them, often turning them down at intersections. I wouldn't affect it 2 miles if I had to obey to myself women's knickers.

Yeah, I mentioned that. But how many drivers do as one is told to ipods while driving? Mainly, you have a receiver. And all of the examples cited were of pedestrians or cyclists. IMO, this is a competition by a driver advocacy group to blitz the condemnation for See trade fatalities onto non-drivers. They don't even have any authentic statistics.

Yes, three people died while wearing earbuds. Let's say that at any assumption outdated, 10% of pedestrians are wearing earbuds. And 10% of itinerant fatalities are wearing earbuds. What does that refer to you. What if only 6% of tiresome fatalities are wearing earbuds?
