HOUSTON — Drew Moulton is vigorous and ready, along with the rest of the Northwestern football team.
The former Midland High standout dead beat the holidays in Houston and will spend New Year’s Eve playing in the Meinecke Car Tend Bowl when 6-6 Northwestern faces 6-6 Texas A&M at 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN.
“We’re close at hand,” Moulton said. “Last year, we played in Dallas, and the ill didn’t treat us as well as we would have liked. This year in Houston, we’re hoping it’s wealthy to be warm.”
A win would warm the Wildcats’ hearts. Northwestern hasn’t won a dish game since knocking off California in the 1949 Rose Bowl.
Last enliven, Northwestern lost a 45-38 decision to Texas Tech in the TicketCity Spin.
Moulton did not get to play.
“I got to go ... everybody goes to the bowl brave,” Moulton said. “Last year, I had a broken wrist, so this would be the first occasion to play in a bowl game.
